For years, Chembur East was known for being a little tucked away from the rest of the city. That picture is changing. From Chandak Highscape City, the Eastern Freeway is 1 km away, BKC 6.3 km and the international airport 11 km. The Santacruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR) is now complete, and Metro Line 2B has opened its first stretch, with its extension to Chembur under way. If you are looking at a 3 BHK in Chembur East under ₹3 crore, this guide explains how well connected the area is today, and what is still to come.

One of the most significant factors contributing to the improved connectivity of Chembur East has been the development of its road infrastructure and access. Highscape City is 1 km from the Eastern Freeway, 3.6 km from the Eastern Express Highway and 4.3 km from the SCLR. When the Eastern Freeway opened in 2013, press reports put the trip from Chembur to South Mumbai at about 16 to 20 minutes, a journey that once took far longer.
The table below shows how the project sits against the places most residents travel to. The distances are approximate, for landmarks as on April 2024.
| Destination | Distance from project |
|---|---|
| Eastern Freeway | 1 km |
| BPCL Monorail station | 1.7 km |
| Chembur railway station | 4.9 km |
| BKC Connector | 5.2 km |
| Lokmanya Tilak Terminus | 5.8 km |
| BKC | 6.3 km |
| Ghatkopar Metro station | 7.4 km |
| Atal Setu | 9.2 km |
| International airport | 11 km |
| Lower Parel | 11 km |
| Powai | 15.8 km |
| Nariman Point | 18 km |
BKC is roughly a 20 to 30 minute drive at peak hours. Chembur railway station is 4.9 km away, so day-to-day travel here leans on road, monorail and metro more than on the suburban train.
The roads around Highscape City are open, and the metro network is still being completed. Here is where each link stands.
| Link | Status | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Eastern Freeway, Sion BKC Connector, monorail | Running | Distances are in the table above |
| SCLR | Complete | The final 1.40 km link, from Bharat Nagar Road to Vakola Junction, opened around 13 August 2026. It completes the 10.30 km corridor between the Eastern and Western Express Highways, and MMRDA expects it to cut travel time between BKC and the WEH by up to 35 minutes |
| Metro Line 2B | Partly open | Phase 1, Diamond Garden to Mandale, opened in April 2026. The Chembur extension was awaiting safety clearance in late April 2026 |
| Metro Lines 4 and 8 | Proposed | Listed as upcoming |

Highscape City offers an Elite 3 BHK layout. Indicative pricing is around ₹2.45 to ₹2.65 crore, before stamp duty, registration, GST and parking. Once those are added, the all-in figure can approach or pass ₹3 crore, so it is the all-in number worth planning around. The home loan EMI calculator turns it into a monthly instalment.
Chandak Highscape City is registered with MahaRERA under number P51800055726, and its possession date and RERA carpet areas are public on the MahaRERA website. The project is funded by and mortgaged in favour of Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited.

Chandak describes Highscape City as Chembur's largest and greenest residential project, citing Cushman & Wakefield's report "Chembur - Comparative Analysis, April 2024."
