Great Pyramid of Giza - World's tallest structure for 3,800 years
The Great Pyramid of Giza is an incredible feat of engineering and construction. It is made up of over 2.3 million blocks of limestone, each weighing an average of 2.5 tons. The blocks were quarried from a nearby quarry and transported to the pyramid site using a system of ramps and sleds. The Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest building in the world for over 3,800 years. It was only surpassed by the Lincoln Cathedral in 1311 AD. The Steam Engine Revolutionized Construction Transportation
The Industrial Revolution was a time of great change and innovation. One of the most important innovations of this time was the steam engine. Steam engines were used to power locomotives, which allowed for the rapid transportation of construction materials over land. This helped to speed up the pace of modernization and led to the development of new industries and technologies. Eventually, steam engines were replaced by diesel engines. Diesel engines are more reliable, require less maintenance, and are faster than steam engines. However, the steam engine's revolutionary production still has a lasting impact on the efficiency and adaptation of construction transportation. The steam engine helped to lay the foundation for the modern transportation system that we rely on today.

Currently 1712.1M tons of steel being used in the world today
Henry Bessemer invented a method to mass-produce steel called the Bessemer process during the Technological Revolution and the Second Industrial Revolution. Before the Bessemer process, it took a full day to convert three to five tons of iron to steel. However, the Bessemer process reduced the time it took to convert iron to steel to under 20 minutes. In 2018, 1712.1 million tons of steel were used worldwide. Of this, 2.6 million tons were used for railways and tracks, and 18.8 million tons were used solely for concrete reinforcing bars. The Bessemer process was a major breakthrough in steel production, and it helped to usher in the Second Industrial Revolution. The Bessemer process made steel more affordable and accessible, which led to its widespread use in a variety of industries, including construction, transportation, and manufacturing.
